About This Coffee
Ethiopia Alaka is a naturally processed heirloom coffee sourced from the Hambela Coffee Estate. This particular lot comes from the Hambela Alaka washing station located in the kebele from which the name is derived. 650 smallholder farmers from around Alaka bring their cherries to the washing station which is owned and operated by METAD. METAD’s robust team is managed and directed by Aman Adinew, who brings a wealth of knowledge from his experience working at the executive level of multiple fortune 500 companies. Farmers are given direct training and guidance from the METAD team from the very start. This includes the provision of free seedlings and professional guidance at every stage of the production process.
