Introducing our Cornerstone Blend, a coffee crafted with the same delicious flavour profile of our popular Damn Good Blend, but roasted to a lighter, medium roast for those who prefer a milder taste.

We listened to our customers who were seeking a lighter roasted blend, while still craving the bold and smooth flavour of our Damn Good Blend. Our expert roasters researched and experimented with different blend components and ratios until we found the perfect balance for our Cornerstone Blend.

Roasted at a slower speed and medium temperature, our Cornerstone Blend has a sweet and rich flavour profile that is perfect for any brewing method. Whether you prefer it black, with milk, or as a pour-over, this versatile blend will satisfy your coffee cravings.

ROASTING DATE & DISPATCH ROASTING DATE & DISPATCH

A. We do our production roasting on every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday (except public holidays), and roasted coffees are stored in the warehouse for a few days for the dispatch of orders.

B. All the coffees are sent from the stock(warehouse) unless it requires a specific roasting date. Thus, the coffees you will receive will be between 2 and 7 days after the roasting.

C. If a specific roasting date is requested, it might take a little longer (1-2 days) to get delivered.

D. All orders are dispatched on the next day (except public holidays).

REFUND & DELIVERY POLICY REFUND & DELIVERY POLICY

Returns are only accepted with prior approval from Normcore Coffee where a return authority number will be issued and must be with 14 days of invoice as this coffee is a fresh product. A 15% restocking fee applies and the item must be unused and the packaging in new condition.

Coffee Beans: should be undamaged, the bag should not be opened, should be stored as whole bean condition(ground bean is not accepted).

Equipment: should be undamaged, the package should not be opened.Normcore Coffee will also accept returns in accordance with New South Wales and Australian law.

Delivery

We have free shipping for all purchases over $50. Any orders under $50 will be charged $9.5 for regular shipping by Australia Post. This usually takes 3-5 business days(NSW), and the other states might take longer than this, depending on the demands at the Australia Post.

About This Coffee

Cornerstone Blend was first made in 2019 to offer an alternative product to blend customers. As the Damn Good Blend was (and is still) dark roasted, there have been needs for lighter roasted blend coffee.

According to our research, we wanted to make a blend with a similar flavour profile to the Damn Good Coffee but just in a light roasting profile because the flavours of the Damn Good Blend were the most favourite ones by people.

So, we adjusted the blend components and ratio with the same flavour concept. We then designed a new medium roast profile for this coffee (Cornerstone Blend) to be used as a multi-functional blend (for black, milk, and even filter). So, the Cornerstone Blend is roasted at a little slower speed and at a medium temperature range. This results in sweet, rich and smooth quality.

Pick up order waited too long

Ordered online and waited 12 days to pick up.
If I didn't go to store to ask about it, it might have taken much longer

Good for cold brew, not a fan when making pour over

I only have a pour over set-up at home, so I am reviewing this based on my experience with filter and cold brew.

For starters, I got the Cornerstone blend as part of the Duo Kilo sale so it made it quite affordable to try & experiment with.
I personally feel the roast level is medium-dark more than medium, compared to the Orange Sugar Blend which looks more like medium roast.

Found it difficult to nail a recipe I really liked, but I found that brewing with lower temps (88-90) with a 1:15 ratio and a coarser grind size (went with 19 clicks on Timemore C3) was a good in-between spot where there's some sweetness and acidity that isn't overpowered by the bitterness of the blend.

Cold brew on the other hand, surprisingly yielded yummy results! Very refreshing for the hot and lengthened summer. Sweet and slightly acidic at the start with milk chocolate notes at the end and the chocolate notes linger. Went with ratio of 1:13 / 1:13.33 (3g:40ml for easier measurement) and let it chill in the fridge for 16-24hrs, before filtering out with a v60.

Perhaps this coffee would work best with milk-based espresso drinks, I can imagine the bitterness of it blending well with the sweetness of milk.

I was really looking forward to reviewing this coffee however my delivery never arrived.
Upon asking normcocoffee for assistance, I'm still yet to receive any feedback. Have reached out 3 times!
Coffee was ordered a month ago.
Still hopeful but at this stage, it's definitely dwindling!

Great drop and easy to brew

A very nice medium roast that I find extremely easy to dial in. Tasty too!

Chocolatey goodness

Good quality and reasonably fresh beans which went well in pourovers and shots. I found it has a nice chocolatey almost caramel flavour which I have really enjoyed. Nothing special if you're after some eye popping acid flavours, more of a relaxed coffee to be enjoyed anytime.
